Happy Socks expands into swimwear for SS19

Following the success of its men’s swim capsule last year, Swedish sock brand Happy Socks is launching its first ever full men’s and women’s swimwear collection for Spring/Summer 2019.

The collection is made up of a range of men’s swim shorts and women’s one-piece swimsuits, all priced at $75. Pieces channel the Stockholm-based brand’s signature pop aesthetic through bright colors and striking patterns – from pastel polka dots to abstract neon florals and geometric designs, via prints featuring parrots, ice-cream cones, watermelon slices and more.

The fully lined women’s swimsuits, available in sizes XS-L, are cut low at the back, high at the leg and feature a round neck. The men’s shorts include a supportive mesh lining, an elastic waist and drawstrings, and are available in sizes S-XL.

Happy Socks’ first full swimwear offering is also accompanied by a limited-edition selection of “summer essentials.” These beach and poolside accessories include slider sandals, beach towels, a polka-dot beach bag and a confetti-covered pool ring, all of which come in a range of vibrant shades and patterns.

To celebrate the launch of its swimwear collection, the brand has teamed up with none other than David Hasselhoff for an image and video campaign entitled “Hoff’s Day Off”. Shot in LA and channeling a tongue-in-cheek 80s vibe, the campaign sees the iconic former Baywatch actor model Happy Socks’ swim shorts while taking part in a range of classic summer leisure activities.

Happy Socks’ swim collection and summer essentials are now available at the brand’s concept stores and e-commerce website, as well as at select retailers.
