BIKINI INVENTOR ROARS BACK TO LIFE TO AS RÉARD PARIS

When fashion pioneer Louis Réard presented his new form of swimwear – the bikini – in 1946, he probably had no idea of the impact these two little covering parts would generate… The bikini revolutionised post-war beachwear fashion, changed women’s status and gave them a new-found independence, becoming the icon of an entire generation. More than 70 years later, Réard Paris roars back to life led by a seasoned and passionate team who share a specific vision of femininity reflected in an expectation of well-being and quality, but also by a thirst for emotions and aesthetics.

They have again endowed the brand with all the distinctive elements that led to its success: timeless elegance, pure forms, innovative materials and an attention to detail for a flawless finish. To best reflect these values, the brand has chosen to use Brugnoli‘s signature interlock mesh with 38% LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fibre, and the collection of 55 styles has adopted a couture spirit with each piece being worked at the heart of the brand’s Paris Studio. The swimsuits sculpt the body and feel like a second skin, and colours are bright, with a matte finish for an undeniably chic look.

“Choosing the main material was a very important step for the development team and the style department. We wanted it to have the very special quality of being functional yet comfortable and compact. We wanted to be able to work this material in clean-cut in order to obtain perfect finishes,” explains Grégory Dalizon, CEO.
