Selena Gomez, international pop-star and former teen sorceress on Disney Channel’s “Wizard’s of Waverly Place” has teamed up with Theresa Marie Mingus on a Swimwear Collection.

Selena Gomez designed a special bathing suit that hides her kidney transplant scar to promote her best friend’s new swimwear line.

The 25 year old posed in the item as part of the unveiling of her former assistant-turned-close pal Theresa Mingus’ debut fashion venture, which launches on Thursday, and was developed to flatter various body types.

As part of the collection, Mingus called on the actress and singer to craft three limited edition styles for the Selena x Krahs Swim capsule. Among the pieces are a plunging bikini top, a one piece and high-waisted bottoms.

The high-rise bottoms were part of an effort to create a look that would hide the scars from the Come & Get It hitmaker’s 2017 kidney transplant surgery.

“I did have a really good time designing,” Gomez tells People magazine. “It was fun. The design I did, one of them, it was the high-waisted one with the belt. I’ve had a kidney transplant and I like bathing suits that kind of cover where that’s been – and make me feel comfortable.”

“Every woman wants to feel sexy. Every woman wants to feel confident and beautiful,” Mingus adds in a video promo featuring Gomez. “I definitely want to have a variety of different pieces, so everyone can wear them.”

On Monday, the Same Old Love hitmaker took to Instagram to share touching words of support for Mingus, ahead of the release.

“I met Theresa 5 years ago. We worked together and became best friends,” she wrote alongside a photo of the pair. “She has taught me how to see life in a fun, carefree and uplifting way. She has shown me how to be a strong and fearless woman. She is beautiful, kind and smart. I saw how capable she was of achieving her dreams.

“I wanted nothing more than to see her pursue them and soar. And here you are making it happen T. I love you and I am so proud of you.”

Everybody’s favorite Weasley has come a long way since her time in Harry Potter. Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the Wizarding World franchise, made her directorial debut last year and has become a strong advocate for protecting the environment.

Bonnie has now used her creative talents towards helping the environment in the form of a swimwear line made from recycled plastic bottles. The new line is in collaboration with Fair Harbor Clothing and it officially debuted its new line in April. Fair Harbor turns recycled plastic bottles into fashionable and functional swimwear, with 11 bottles or more reused per swimsuit. Wright not only had a hand in selecting the designs for the suits, but she also the models the collection.

“I was inspired by Japanese and Chinese indigo prints for both the pattern and color of the collection." shares Wright. "The pattern itself is inspired by sea urchin shells, an animal I find to have such fierce beauty like the ocean. I wanted the shape and fit of the suits to encourage movement at the beach be it swimming, dancing or surfing!"

Wright's suits with Fair Harbor are currently available for purchase on their website, with the bikini separates retailing for $48 each and the one piece for $98.  15% of the proceeds from any purchase will go towards Heal the Bay, an environmental advocacy organization based out of Los Angeles.
