Informa Plans Miami Coterie Event, Confirms August Return of MAGIC & Project to Las Vegas

For fashion, Miami is shaping up to be the hub for new business this July.

Informa Markets Fashion announced Wednesday that it will host Destination: Miami by Coterie, a women’s resort and swim event aligned with Miami Swim Week. The show will take place July 10-12 at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach.

Just two weeks ago, Liberty Fairs announced that it will host a dual event with the resort show, Cabana, July 10-12 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

With Destination: Miami by Coterie, event organizers aim to offer a strategic approach to generating business opportunities by choosing locations and dates that provide buyers with a “greater access point to discover new brands.”

“We serve the diverse needs of the global fashion community through a variety of locations, event formats, and sizes,” said Kelly Helfman, Informa Markets Fashion commercial president. “We will continue to announce events throughout the year in order to help retailers more efficiently respond to the quickening pace of consumer habits and demands and give our brands greater opportunity to move product, reengage existing accounts, and connect with new retailers.”

More digital and regional event opportunities for the women’s elevated contemporary market, as well trend and contemporary men’s and women’s markets, will also be announced in the coming months, the company stated.

Adding to Informa’s busy summer, the trade show organizer plans to return to the Las Vegas Convention Center in August with keystone events Magic Las Vegas, Project Las Vegas and Sourcing at Magic. The men’s and women’s apparel trade shows will take place Aug. 9-11, while Sourcing at Magic will be held Aug. 8-11.

With Sourcing at Magic being a resource for international exhibitors and visitors, Informa stated that it will be a hybrid event. Running simultaneously with the live event, Sourcing at Magic Online will return as a platform to foster connections within a larger audience before, during and after the Las Vegas event.

In addition to “new and refreshed” show floor experiences, Informa promises a full lineup of market insights and education sessions throughout the events. Brands and buyers can also expect a new layout that places women’s, men’s, and children’s apparel alongside footwear, accessories, home goods, and gifts “for optimized merchandising and easier show floor navigation.”

While each event will require its own specific set of safety measures, Helfman said the industry can “expect that all future planning and organization of our events will be [led] with the highest standards in safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.”
