Descalzo Shows Hosted Swim Atelier at NYFW

At New York Fashion WeekDescalzo Shows hosted their show, Swim Atelier, at Punto Space, bringing a taste of summer and proving that swimwear is not seasonal anymore. Designers from Texas, Florida, and Amasterdam gave a full house a beautiful show, having everyone forget that it was 29 degrees outside.

Opening the show, was Ballerina, Amanda Beasley who opened the show with congenital amputee & singer,Marsha Elle, who also wore a custom piece designed by Tayo Ishola, creative director of Eido Swimwear. The collection, Empatheia, is inspired by women given to service.

Coming from Amsterdam and debuting their collection, Waikiki Swimwear just reminded us that you can not have too many bikini's. With classic & trendy styles and prints, Waikiki is on a mission to help save our oceans, one bikini at a time.

Spicing things up was Zouk Collective, bringing a festive Carnival to the runway - if only funnel cakes & lemonade were served, some might have found themselves continuing the show off 38th Street.

Last but not least, proving that 'thinness does not equal beauty' was luxury plus size swimwear brand from Texas, Curvy Fox. Embracing women of all shapes & sizes, Curvy Fox reminds that every body looks great in a bikini - empowering women to feel good about themselves and raising the (confident) bar.
